Alex Calder

Alex Calder was an American artist perhaps known best for his innovative mobiles. In addition to his sculptures he also painted throughout his career. Many of his prints depicted groups of geometric shapes, often seemingly in motion. Calder's work is permanently displayed in many collections across the world including; The Whitney Museum, the Guggenheim Museum, Museum of Modern Art, New York, Centre Pompidou, Paris, Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid and the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C
